Trevett trial date set

07 Feb, 2012 10:45 AM
A TRIAL date has been set down for the five people charged over the murder of Glen Innes greengrocer Adrian Trevett.

The cases of Mathew Aquilina of Casino, Karen Dawson of Glen Innes, David Comber of Grafton and Kristin Weston and Deborah Grant of Casino have been listed for trial in the Newcastle Supreme Court on August 20. The five are facing charges over the death of Mr Trevett who went missing after he completed a bike ride to the summit of the Gibraltar range in October 2010.

Following an emotional plea to the public by his family, Mr Trevett’s remains were found in January 2011 at a national park east of Tenterfield.

The five accused will appear in the Sydney Supreme Court for an arraignment hearing on March 2.
