21 Aug, 2008 09:36 AM
Highland hunting and Target Club held a very successful Archery afternoon on Saturday August 9 at the Pistol Club complex.

A total of 45 people enjoyed the afternoon’s shoot, some spectators said they couldn’t wait until the next time the club would hold another open day so they could try their skills.

With the success of the day, the Highland Hunting and Target Club will be hosting another shoot day on Sunday September 14 commencing at 9:30am all welcome.

If the numbers are still enthusiastic then Archery will be conducted on a monthly basis with proper scored events commencing in October.

The club would like to thank Neil Paker, Kurtis Paker and Martin McKosker for looking after the afternoon’s proceedings.

The interclub shoot against the Armidale SSAA branch has been postponed until September 28 due to the Queensland National titles.
