Guyra 12

The junior Magpies recorded their second successive win following a four game loosing streak when they defeated second placed Guyra at Mead Park on Saturday.

Backing up from last week’s 40 points to16 trampling over top of the table Inverell. The under 18s repeated the performance to dominate Guyra 48 points to 12 and put them back in contention for the premiership.

Tries for Glen were shared amongst nine players, Steven Reynolds, Tom Hiramatsu, Aaron Flaherty, Tim Grob, Nick Ehsman, Mark Mabbott, Jared Willis, Ross Lewis with Tim Croft bagging a double.

Meanwhile six juniors filled the gaps in a depleted President’s Cup side that also took on Guyra at Mead Park on Saturday.

Peter Rajko and junior Beau Dawson scored a try a piece to take Glen’s total to ten. But it was not enough to overcome Guyra taking out the game 32 points to ten.
