The ‘Services Club Clean Sweep’, awarding $100 cash to any competitor shooting all possibles during the days’s local events offered up by the Clay Target Club’s new sponsor, the Glen Innes and District Services Club, remained safe this month, with shooters pipped from perfect scores across three events.
Nonetheless, high scores were recorded across the board, with cool headed shooters tied in close competition for the 50 target single barrel club championships, with the C Grade event determined by a single shot.
Overall High Gun was won by Geoff Baxter 140/150 of Guyra a Veteran shooter with a wealth of experience and seems to come out on top no matter what is dealt up to him.
The club held a pot-luck dinner following competition, capping the days events with an excellent social atmosphere.
The club’s next shoot will be Saturday, August 2, commencing at 1pm, with a 25 target double barrel, 25 target double barrel continental, 15 pair double rise championships and 25 target single barrel and practice from 12noon.
