The hundreds of road-tripping Variety fundraisers cruised into Glen Innes rounding out the centre stretch of the nine-day voyage across NSW.
Among them where Melbourne and Ballarat locals Mary Weerenburg, Wendy Townley, Robyn Wootton, Frank Weerenburg and Neil Townley (pictured) who donned the M&M outfits and joined the convoy to see more of Australia for a good cause.
Making numerous appearances around Glen Innes, including at Whan’s Corner Store, the Variety Bashers hit the road to Emmaville Central School where drivers presented a cheque for close to $4500 to be put towards educational resources.
Stopping over between 11.30am and approximately 2pm, the Services Club played host to royal damsels, amigos, at least one Dalmatian and a host of other costumed wonders, with club general manager Pat Lonergan presenting the drivers with a donation of $250 to be put towards the millions raised on the road to support struggling youngsters.
