Police have charged a man after he allegedly assaulted one man and intimidated another at Glen Innes last week.

About 3.40pm, Friday, a 31-year-old man went to a home on Herbert Street and spoke to the 39-year-old resident
Police have been told the occupant allegedly pushed the man to the ground and kicked his head and back.
The man got up and ran away, seeking treatment at Glen Innes Hospital before being released.
About 4.10pm the same day, a 26-year-old man was mustering sheep on a property on Herbert Street when the same man allegedly fired a rifle in the direction of the younger man.
Police from New England Local Area Command were called to a home on Herbert Street and arrested a 39-year-old man.
He was taken to Glen Innes Police Station and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and intimidation.
The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Glen Innes Local Court on Friday, September 26
