A rising star in touch football, Satara was excited as her name was called out to be part of the team in this important national title event.
Earlier this year Satara progressed through Polding trials held in Tamworth (as one of four girls from Glen Innes), with Satara and school mate Mackenzie Grob progressing to the Mudgee trials. Satara then made the state Polding team as a result of the Wagga Wagga trials.
This selection process and activity has meant that Satara is now ranked as one of the top 12 touch football players in NSW.
Students competing at the school level in all sports have to meet qualifying standards, times, lengths, heights and distances before they are eligible to compete at the Armidale Diocesan level.
The selection of local students from throughout such a wide area is an indication of the strengths students like Satara and Mackenzie possess and is also an indication of determination to succeed in their chosen field.
