It was a huge gala day to end the soccer (junior football) season. Friendly games were played and there was lots of laughs to be had when the parents, carers, grandparents took to the field with many energetic youngsters. I am sure the adults found muscles they never knew they had the next day.

The Glen Innes and District Services Club is a major sponsor of the Junior Football Club. Presentations were held for the under 9s at 1pm and the older divisions at 2pm.
A disco followed, and it was a lovely way to wind down after a long and enjoyable season.
On behalf of everyone who has had anything to do with junior football this year, thank you to the tireless committee of president Robert Ferris and secretary Donna Ruming; and division leaders Amy McCowen, Donna Ruming, Dee Sharmann and Penni Sloman, those that run the canteen and all the team coaches. It really has been a successful season, and there wouldn't be junior soccer if not for the committee.
