The win was the second in the competition for Inverell after an earlier eight wicket win over Moree.
Glen batted first and were bowled out for 121 despite home field advantage at King George Oval.
Glen Innes were led by a gallant opening stand of 49 from Brandon Levy as well as 20 runs from Jake Every, but were eventually bundled out by a steady Inverell attack. Justin Power also tallying 13 runs for the home side.
Inverell then reeled in the Glen total for the loss of only three wickets within 17 overs, despite losing both of their openers for just 19 runs, with the 91 run partnership of Mick Kenny and Dave Mudaliar steadying the ship for the visitors.
Glen Innes player Dean Swaffer said the side would need to tighten up their bowling ahead of their next match after giving up 24 in sundries.
“We bowled 24 wides which didn’t help so we will need to get our line and length back on track and get a few more runs ourselves,” he said.
Among the best of the bowlers for Glen was Rodney Roberts with one for 11 from three overs.
In the other Connelly Cup game Manilla got a win on the road against Bingara.
