Bowlers from as far away as Kootingal, Lightning Ridge and Walcha came across to Glen Innes for the tournament to compete and catch up with friends over a few rounds of bowls in what is the 57th year of the prestigious tournament which attracts many visitors to town and is a major yearly boost to the Glen Innes economy.
Today’s play sees ladies three bowls triples and tomorrow’s features three rounds of men’s two bowl triples and Saturday’s play is also three rounds of two bowl triples and the final days play on Sunday is a two bowl open triples event.
