The association has released its own recipe book full of tasty treats for you to make and enjoy for just $15, with all proceeds going to the P&C to put towards the school. The recipe book has been a true whole school effort according to P&C member Caroline Chappell.
“There are easily over 100 recipes from parents, staff and community members. All the kids got to enter a competition to do the artwork for the book and there is artwork on the covers and inside the book itself,” she said.
Mrs Chappell told the Examiner the book is the brainchild of long time P&C member Annette Eastwood.
“One of our P&C stalwarts Annette Eastwood has a son in his last year and she just wanted to do something for the school before he finished up. She has done so much. She has been the editor and put it all together and everything.
“She has been working really hard on it for the last three to four months.”
The book which features recipes for everything from summer salads to hearty stews to cakes and biscuits and even drinks will be on sale from 9.30am to 11.30am by P&C members out the front of the town hall coffee shop this Thursday, November 13 and Wednesday, November 19 and from outside Schafer’s Newsagency this Saturday November 15.
If you want a copy of the book but can’t make one of the selling days, contact Caroline Chappell on 0427 323 717.
