Over night rain continued, but didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the shooters hoping to post a good score early in the day.
Event 1: 50T Double Barrel
AA: 1st Jeff Richardson 113/113, 2nd David Conduit 112/113
A: 1st Cameron Schoenfisch 77/78, 2nd Steve Picone 76/78
B: 1st Whitney Schoenfisch 50/50, 2nd Bill Fletcher 98/100
C: 1st Russell Sainsbury 48/50, Julie-Ann Sainsbury 47/50
All three events were run in 50 target visits; shooters needed to stay focused and not let their concentration lapse.
To keep them rolling our very own self certified barbecue mystro Martin McCosker did a wonderful job on the day, he was kept busy cooking the sausages, assisted by volunteers in the sales department.
Event 2 was shot in clear skies, but the clouds had given way to the wind and the strength of it made conditions very tough.
Event 2: 50T Single Barrel
AA: 1st Jeff Richardson 48/50, 2nd Graham Baylis 48/51
A:1st Noel Hicks 47/50, 2nd Cameron Schoenfisch 55/59
B:1st Neil Grennan 46/50, 2nd Gregory Brunsdon 49/50
C: 1st Adam Hone 41/50, 2nd Julie-Ann Sainsbury 40/50.
Mid afternoon saw the day getting towards the business end of things, some shooters planning on making their move, others were just left scratching their heads.

The club would also like to send a special thanks to all who made the day a success, the ladies and gents in the kitchen and barbecue Loma Wright, Judy Futter, Martin McCosker, Don and Frances Hall, Kae Klinger and Whitney Shoenfisch, the hardworking people in the office Neil Doran, Geoff Jacobson, Paul Wright, Tracey Larkings, Mellissa Grennan and Nicole Ramsay and Ralph Larkings our president.
The club could also not have an event like this without our generous sponsors who are also to be thanked for their support.
The $200 Cash ‘Service Club Clean Sweep’ donated from Glen Innes and District Services Club remained safe for the day.
