Glen Innes’s Grace Holloway is the lucky new owner of the ‘lest we forget’ quilt after her brother Joseph Seears won it in a RSL raffle.
Deputy State President of the RSL Women’s Auxiliary, Pauline James travelled from Sydney for the hand over with Pauline adding they didn’t want to risk sending it by the post.
“It’s the lest we forget quilt which has been a raffle for the central council of women’s auxiliary and Joseph Seears from Collarenebri RSL bought a ticket, but put his sister Graces name on it and she was the winner so we are here presenting it to her.
“I’ve come all the way from Sydney as it is too valuable to put in the post.”
