Lindsay Edward’s team defeated Chris Leahy’s team 34/30 games and Jason Duffell’s team had a win over Mick Grob’s team 33/24 games. The final of the men’s competition is next Tuesday.
Thursday women’s competition was a washout after a substantial storm. As the result was to depend on first past the post the winner well ahead on points was Sue Rees’ team of Jan Lemon, Gloria Freak and Leah Lane. Congratulations to Sue’s team.
Thursday Juniors were not able to play also due to the storm however the presentation of trophies and prizes went ahead. Division A team winner was Bradley Wirth’s team, Division B team winner was Nash Knox’s team with other trophies going to Ryan Earl, Oscar Knox and Sophie McCormick for most improved.
Transition juniors and Littlies were given trophies and medallions for participation and improvement and Kelly Routh was thanked for her help with this group.
During the season a few children often had to fill in from B division to A division so that a match could be played. Most improved boy was shared between Ryan Earl and Oscar Knox. Most improved girl was Sophie McCormick.
A special thanks to Nicole Schafer for her work in organizing the Thursday Juniors and for donating the trophies for Division A again this term. Also thanks to the club’s committee members and other parents for their help in a successful year with the juniors.
