Torchbearer’s President, Geraldine Lawson said the money raised from the annual event will be directed to the families of deceased military personnel, who carry the scars of conflict too, well after the war is over.
“The money is allocated to the district’s Legacy organisation and the Returned Services League (RSL), and we have set a target of around $3, 500,” she said.
Keynote speaker will be Australian Army Reserve Brigadier, Christopher Hamilton.
Brigadier Hamilton held command appointments at every rank, including during operations in East Timor and Bougainville.
