The New England Regional Art Museum (NERAM) will be raising funds in the gardens of ‘Tintagel’ for their newest project, Adopt an Artwork.
The Adopt an Artwork project will allow individuals and groups to financially support artworks from the Hinton or Coventry Collections.
This support will allow artworks to be conserved and restored, the supporting costs range from $240 to $10,000.
‘Tintagel’ is a well established large tree garden spread over two acres with an avenue of Claret Ash, a young orchard and a vegetable garden.
Garden Guru Liz Chappell said the Claret Ash will be wonderfully colourful coming into the autumn winter months.
“Bring your picnic rug, you can buy your lunch there and have real coffee,” she said.
“I’d also recommend the wonderful scones.”
In the garden there will be sculptures and artworks which are also for sale.
Pottery, photographic cards, scarves, second hand books and an autumn harvest stall featuring jams and preserves will also all be available to purchase on the day.
“Plants from Blue Hills Perennial Nursery Tenterfield will also be selling on the day,” Mrs Chappell said.
Entry is $8 per adult and children under 18 are free.
To reach the garden from Armidale, take Bundarra Rd, past the saleyards, for just 0.7km, the garden is immediately on the left just after going under the overpass (follow the NERAMble signs).
