Players from as young as under 8s right through to seniors will be in action on Saturday.
Glen Innes Minor League host Bingara to kick off the day, while the senior Magpies host Guyra in two trial matches.
Under 8s and modified junior league-tag start proceedings at 10am, followed by under 10s at 10.50am, under 12s at 11.40am and league-tag at 12.30pm.
Following those matches the senior club will be in action with a league-tag trial at 2pm and senior trial at 3pm.
It will be the first time the Magpies have played the Super Spuds since the Guyra club folded after the 2012 season.
While only trial matches, spectators can expect two quality games of rugby league, with the traditional long-time rivals eager to get the wood on one another heading into the 2015 Group 19 Rugby League season.
The Magpie league-tag side forged a fierce rivalry with Guyra before the Spuds folded.
Saturday is the first chance for Glen Innes supporters to see a relatively new-look Magpie league-tag side in action.
New recruits Amy Barraclough and Vicki Youman were outstanding in Glen’s huge trial win over Armidale a fortnight ago.
The side also includes mainstays Breanna and Courtney Grange, Kate Fakes, Amelia and Alisa Tunamena, Shannan Marchant, Kayla Williams and Madison Cook, with a number of other new faces also in the mix.
Glen Innes will combine their first and reserve grade sides for the senior trial against Guyra.
The last time the Magpies played the Spuds in a senior match was the 60-22 thrashing the Magpies handed out in the 2012 first grade grand final.
The Magpie seniors also started the season on a high note with a 38-20 win in Armidale despite fielding an undermanned squad.
Guyra were thumped 44-6 by the Rams in their first trial last Friday night.
The Nick Ehsman led Magpies side will not be at full strength on Saturday, with a number of first grade players again unavailable.
One of the Magpies key off-season recruits Todd Cameron will be in action, while Ehsman himself will suit up along with 2014 captain Nick Say, Craig Browne, Matt Crowhurst, Sam Schiffmann and Chris Pedlow.
