The event will be the first round of the 2015 New South Wales Rally Championship.
The best rally teams from all over the state will battle it out over eight timed stages on
120kms of gravel roads and many teams from Queensland have entered.
Temporary road closures will be in place on some roads in the district, with the permission of the Glen Innes Severn Council and the NSW Police Service.
The public are invited to meet the drivers and get a close look at the cars, at the
Start to take place in Bourke St near the corner of Grey St from 8.30am, with the first car to be flagged away by Mayor Col Price at 9.00am.
Rally headquarters will be at the Glen Innes Showgrounds, with the 50 teams taking part returning four times during the day, for servicing and any running repairs needed.
A family-friendly spectators area, where the cars can be viewed competing, will be set
up approximately 12 kilometres east of Dundee on Morven Rd, and the first car is due to arrive at 1.45pm.
Directions on how to get there are available from Schafer’s Newsagency and AutoPro in Grey St, and Tyrepower in Inverell and Glen Innes.
The competition concludes with a dinner and the presentation of trophies at the Services Club on the Saturday night.
