Youth Week in Glen Innes closed with a day of sports and fitness with about 28 children coming together to play in a round robin competition at Wilson Park on Friday April 17.

Netball, touch football, soccer and other bonus point events were run throughout the day.
Team Bubbles consisting of Blake Cameron, Anna Sharman, Mikielee Snow, Eleanor Malone, Amy Byrne, Maggie Keelan won the day overall.
Glen Innes Severn Council Youth Worker Kristy Newbury said it was good to see everyone being active in the holidays.

“They’ve all been willing to have a go, even at the push ups.”
Before their win, team bubbles were all having a fantastic day and said it was good to have a good at sports that they don’t normally play.
“I’m pretty pleased with the whole lot and I’ve been hearing that they want more things to come too,” Kristy said.
“All ideas are welcome and we are on Facebook at Glen Innes Youth.”
Kristy said she wanted to thank all of her supporters who helped run the day and the parents who supported the teams.
“Everyone has been great,” she said.
Kristy said she was very impressed with the turn up to the events and remarked at the involvement of the 15 boys who participated in the computer skills day on April 16.
“They were unbelievable with manners,” she said.
“We had a great day playing video games, happy sack and forciebacks.”
