Both Adella and Dale have sons serving in the Army so their personal connections spured them on to make a display that all the residents as well as the community of Emmaville could be proud of.
“We wanted to do something for our communities,” Dale said.
“To do this to support Emmaville,” Adella said.
“It took a lot of research and listening to residents and the town’s people.”
The display covers all wars with relatives of staff members, residents who served, community members stories as well as letters, artefacts and uniforms which have been brought in to show off to the town.
“It’s been bringing people in and the residents gave us a lot of information and photos,” Dale said.
“It really has involved the community and everyone’s starting to talk about it,

“It’s really brought Anzac day alive for the town.”
Health Services manager Jenny Newberry said it has been a wonderful project for the MPS and lovely to get some of the ex-servicemen involved.
“It’s been wonderful with the community bringing stuff in,” she said.
“They are just coming and communicating with us about things that have happened in our community.”
At the official opening of the Anzac display Brandon Davis made a speech about his great grandfather George Edward Davis who served in world war one.
Brandon is in year 10 and loved studying history at school.
“It was just a special thing to do in the 100th year anniversary,” he said.
“We did world war one at school and I loved it so it just grew from there.”
Councillor Malcolm Schumacher said he was taken aback at the grand scale of the project.
“When I saw all the items I was really taken aback, it’s just marvellous,” he said.
Emmaville RSL Sub branch president Rodney Robinson said Dale and Adella should be very proud of themselves and what they have achieved for Emmaville.
The display will be up for the next few weeks and people are welcome to drop by and have a look.
