May 26 saw Gail McIntyre hold her annual tea on the veranda out at Pinkett with around 60 people in attendance.
There were raffles, enough tea cups to serve an army and luckily Gail had her male helpers doing the dishes.
Her tea raised $750 with more donations expected.
The Glen Innes Lioness Club held their morning tea at the community centre on May 28, raising $1293 for the cancer council.
Carolyn McClelland was blown away by the amount of support that Glen Innes gave to supporting the cancer council.
“It’s wonderful to see so many people here,” she said.
“We sold 40 of 100 trays within the first hour of the event.
“It could be that $1 here to find the cure.”
Glen Innes Pre School held their biggest morning tea in unison with their term Grandparents day also on May 28.
The Thursday children enjoyed spending the morning showing off the preschool to their grandparents, great grandparents and parents who came along to share some sweet treats.
Glen Innes Preschool Director Robyn Cartwright welcomed everyone to the day and explained to all the children why they were taking part in the morning tea.
The pre-schoolers all finished their fruit with haste, before getting their hands on a cupcake, pikelet or lamington.
May29 saw $288 raised at Parish Playgroup.
The playgroup had their usual gathering but for a different craft activity Nat Ward decided tea bag painting would be a hit.
Children took part in drawing with crayon and painting over the drawings with forest fruit and green tea flavoured tea bags.
There is still a chance to take part with the Glen Innes Salvation Army is holding their biggest morning tea in the store on June 11 and the Glen Innes Examiner office will have cakes and cuppas available for a gold coin donation on June 25.
