The festival has been raising money for the New England Volunteer Air Transport, which has been grounded since December.
The finishing up party at the Imperial Hotel saw about 30 people.
“It was a good weekend,” Anna Easterbrook said.
“We had a few performers; I think it’ll be good for the town.”
TASMA Secretary Don Garrad said for the inaugural festival everything went pretty well.
“75 percent of attendees were out of towners,” he said.
“All our performers enjoyed it and all said they’d be back.”
The various showcases at the Glen Innes and District Services Club were attended by about 50 people each evening with people popping in and out for various performances.
Glen Innes and District Services Club Event Coordinator Julie Clement said she thinks the festival can only grow from here.
“It was a very well organised event in our premises,” she said.
“The performers were amazing.”
The performances were from the likes of Crooked Tree, SAMI, Kylie Castle, TC Brown, Michael Clare, Laura Downing, Anita Ree, Dale Hooper and Glen Innes’ own Rachel Jillet.
The window display first prize went to the Premier store on 96 points, Carelles came in second on 93 points and Leading Appliances took third on 92 points.
Judges Milton Christian and Robyn MacInerny said all the windows were very well decorated.
“It was very hard to judge for first place,” Milton said.
In the Nash-Grill Recording Studio Talent Search Glen Innes locals took a few titles home.
The Bain Sisters win the Open Duo Folk division and were the overall open winner.
Arron Muckenschnabel and Jamaica Sparks took home the under 18’s male and female folk sections.
The Rhymer From Ryde said the Bush Poets Breakfast’s went very well.
“We had a small but very enthusiastic crowd,” he said.
“We like to encourage all new comers at events like our breakfast.”
“We try and make it as relaxed as possible.”
Next year’s High Country Music Festival will be held from July 1 to 10.
