Being undermanned, the elks took this opportunity to play around with positions, Toby Shannon playing fly half and welsh import Shaun Thomas demoted from the front row to let him run free as a winger.
Fergus McIntosh and Cam Amos were a little battered and bruised after a week of skiing but maned up and both played an exceptional game.
The Armidale scrum was phenomenal and proved to be tough all game.
The Elks lineout continued to dominate through out all the game with Billy Hartman and Pierce Hayden never giving up.
Standout in defence were once again Bart Thomilson and Billy Hartman.
In what was a tough game with no reserves the Elks managed to play some outstanding football and controlled the game very well.
Credits go to snow bunny Cameron Amos, who crossed the line for the first time this year.
Shaun Thomas, with the toe punt of the year missed the conversion.
In what has been a tough year due to a number of injuries, The Elks would like to thank each and every sponsor that has helped them year in and year out and a huge thanks to everyone who made this year a great positive year
Keep posted for the Elks 40 year reunion in October. For a game of Golden Oldies and a hit out hopefully with UQ Gatton Black Pig; followed by an evening of laughter and memories.
