The under 14s boys outlasted a persistent Moree side to make their way through to the preliminary final against Armidale next Saturday at Inverell.
Glen Innes led all the way with the full time score being 28 - 22.
The win was a result of a good job by all and certainly was a good team effort.
Every player tried hard and kept turning up to the best of their ability and definitely earned the win.
Jim Fenton dominated the score board with 3 tries while Bayden Grob and Ali Crossley scored 1 each.
Bayden had a good day with boot kicking 4 from 5 goals.
The grand final at Moree awaits the senior league tag girls after a win of 30 - 4 in the major semifinal at Mead Park against Inverell East.
The tries were scored by Ebony Gallagher (2), Sarah Byrne (2), Amy Byrne and Emilie Hodge with three successful conversions from Kristal Crossley. The best players were Ebony Gallagher, Sarah Byrne, Emilie Hodge, Kristal Crossley, Abby Miller and Anna Sharman in a massive team effort.
The Glen Innes Under 16's put on a great rugby league display on Saturday defeating Inverell West 36 - 14 in the minor semi-final.
The big crowd were very impressed with the Under 16's performance.
Try scorers were Connor Livermore (2), Tom Doney, Ji Van Heerwarden, Brant Williams, Lachy Chard, Harrison Lehman, all scored one.
Luke Hodgson kicked three goals and Isaiah Tunamena kick one.
The boys will play Armidale Rams in the final on Saturday at Inverell and are hoping to repeat this performance.
