The inspiration behind this show was Beth’s recent trip to India.
“The colours there are amazing,” she said.
“I saw some amazing things.”
“I came back full of colour and I knew I had to do something with it.”
Cooling Planet is one of the latest creations that Beth has put together and said it was one of her favourites to be included in the Physically Felt Exhibition.
Beth said it was nice to be able to sell things to people in the community.
“Local people should come and support their local artists,” she said.
“This is such a positive thing for the community.”
“Art gives life colour and movement, it’s just so important.”
Beth uses felt, silk thread, silk cocoons and rods, as well as many other silk materials to create her artworks.
There will be framed and unframed pieces as well as scarves and wraps which will all be for sale.
The textile exhibition will be open until the end of September with entry being $5.
Beth plans to have an exhibition in Armidale sometime next year.
