The night will raise funds for the Glen Innes Show Society's livestock section, which suffered stock thefts over the show weekend.
LLS cattle officer Jason Siddell said the evening will extend UNE students’ community engagement skills.
“It’s transferring skills across,” he said. “They have to work as a group, make the flyer, complete the media release and coordinate with the vendors and the caterers.”
“This is the third year I’ve done this and its different every year.
Tables of eight to 10 people will go head-to-head in the light-hearted competition, promising plenty of friendly banter between teams.
Most of the questions will be about agriculture, but there will also be several general knowledge rounds.
Show Society president Andrew Hancock said he hopes everyone comes along and supports the society and the students.
The Trivia Night will be a family friendly event with a cost $12.50 per head which includes a steak sandwich on arrival and nibblies throughout the evening.
Individuals or teams can reserve their place by September 8 with an RSVP for catering purposes to Jason Siddell 0459 162 295 or Carmen Elvins on (02) 6730 1923.
