Performers will be in full dress rehearsal from Monday, preparing for two matinees and an evening performance on both Wednesday and Thursday.
Local dancers have been hard at work, learning jazz, contemporary, hip hop and Bollwywood routines, with funds to be directed to costume design promising a slick stage performance.
Dance instructor Lindy Alt said the Spectacular allows the High School to show the community what the dance program has achieved.
“The Spectacular is a showcase of the dance styles and opportunities available in Glen Innes and, in addition to the High School performers, we have guest artists from most of the dance studios and groups in the local area on the program,” she said.
“The High School Dance Group includes students from year 7 to year 12 who dance as their weekly sport and, in addition, they train after hours and on weekends for six to 12 hours, and often more when preparing for an event like Dance Spectacular.
