The Glen Innes Examiner Business Awards brings together the Glen Innes Severn business community to acknowledge outstanding efforts over the past 12 months.
Special guest master of ceremonies for the evening will be Australian gold medallist Hayley Lewis, OAM and there will be several special highlights during the evening to celebrate her visit.
Ms Lewis will autograph an original caricature of herself by renowned Fairfax cartoonist Paul Zanetti.
An independent panel of judges of local business people has considered all nominations and judged the winners of the 2015 Glen Innes Examiner Business Awards across all but one of the categories. The Rotary Club Senior Pride of Workmanship category will be judged by a Rotary Club committee. The Examiner was recognised for the 2014 Glen Innes Examiner Business Awards when it won the Best Event for a Non Daily publication at the recent Fairfax Australia Community Media Awards held in Canberra.
The award was given for outstanding achievement in presenting an event and was open to all Fairfax non-daily publications across Australia. Examiner manager Richard Quinn said it was a big thrill and an honour to win the award, given the large number of non-daily mastheads in the Fairfax Media stable.
“There is no doubt the 2014 business awards was a very successful event and we are looking forward to an equally great event for 2015,” he said.
