Coordinator Joan Parker has set up the display in her back room, but this year she will be charging a gold coin donation which will be donated to the helipad fund.
“This is a chance for people to come and see what we do,” she said.
“A lot of people don’t realise what goes into it.”
The cause has grown considerably with this year’s rug tally being the best yet.
Joan said she had great support from the local community.
“It’s absolutely incredible, the support from this town,” she said.
Joan said this year they have constructed about 4000 squares, 200 strips and made approximately 15 rugs week.
The Wraps with Love Group have made baby to three year old rugs, single and child bed rugs as well as ones large enough for double beds.
The rugs are donated to smaller orphanages throughout the world and also to shelters in Australia.
The Glen Innes group also donate some of the rugs to local centres for distribution to those in need.
The local Wraps with Love group are also supported by other organisation I town and people who donate wool and squares to the cause.
Parsons Transport and Tamex take the rugs to the Sydney depot on September 14.
Joan said she and her team are very grateful that the transport companies donate their time to drop off the packages.
