The live entertainment was a huge draw card keeping the Deepwater Oval rocking until 10pm.
The rainbow sheep and calf petting station kept the children happy all day along with the fossiking and other kids’ corner activities; there was even a sheep treasure hunt.
President Sharyn Rhodes said the oval was busy all day, especially in the morning.
“Everyone was there to enjoy themselves and have a great time,” she said.
“There was no trouble with the crowd, it was such an enjoyable day.
Sharyn said the letter box and scarecrow competition entries were really clever and very interesting.
Maria VanderHeul won people’s choice scarecrow with Mr Grey and 50 Shades of Hay as well as the letter box judge’s prize with her wishing well creation.
Sharyn won the judges scarecrow prize with her Baa-ple Practice scarecrow and the RFS won the business scarecrow.
Sharyn said there were some hilarious entries into the oval competitions such as the great baby race and the bale rolling.
“We saw some great fleeces this year too,” she said.
“The dunk tank was great and definitely drew a crowd.”
“We had everything there.
“Just a great day and we can’t thank people and businesses enough for giving up their support.”
The Deepwater Scarecrow and Wool Festival committee are starting work to prepare for next year’s festival which will again be bigger and better, with a few surprises in store.
