The Weihnachtsmarkt (Christmas Market) will be a Christmas shopping heaven with its eclectic mix of stalls and shops.
Find unique arts, crafts and vintage items for Christmas from local artisans, artists and service clubs.
A number of retailers in Grey Street will remain open for late night shopping.
The markets are sponsored by The Donau Rhein Verein German/Austrian Club of Glen Innes; there will be Gemütlichkeit (think warm glow; cosy Christmas themes) and plenty of it.
Stalls will be piled high with gingerbread, wooden toys, delicate ornaments, Delft Blue, Dachshunds, jewellery, European Chocolates, craft items, pew dolls, steins, nutcrackers and much more.
At dusk, there will be Austrian folkloric dancing with the ten members of the Glen Innesbruck Volkstanzgruppe.
On Saturday night join with the Austrian Club for the most fun you can have in tartan at the Standing Stones.
Forget “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” those pushy Macbeths are at it again.
“Something wicked this way comes” is a no fear Shakespeare event and offers you the opportunity to witness a 'rehearsed reading performance' incorporating the use of physical theatre, music and mask.
“Those backstabbing social climbers, The Thane of Cawdor and his wife, have just moved into a magnificent stone circle in the Centennial Parklands, and you must admit that their new digs are to die for,” said Garek Fysch.
Enjoy Shakespeare’s classic tale of ambition, greed and the supernatural - bloodstains and all.
Although be warned as the play contains fantasy violence; infrequent/mild horror and fear themes.
Tickets with dinner are available at Carelles in Grey Street.
