About 70 people from the Magpies and Elks League and Union clubs got together to play a social round of golf, but there was also plenty of competitive juices flowing amongst the groups.
Glen Innes Magpies spokesman Ben Lonergan said the day turned out to be perfect for golf.
“We were a bit worried about the weather after the storm the day before, but it turned out to be a nice day in the end,” he said.
“It was good to see the two clubs combine to make the day and I hope we can do it again soon.
“There were some standout results on the day which also made the day enjoyable.”
Net winners were; Will Newberry, Charlie Newberry and Heather Thomas and runner ups were, Andrew Gallagher, Stephen Gallagher and Matt Henny.
Gross winners were; Ben Lonergan, Shane Broad and Kayne Wells with the runner ups being, Aaron Jones, Aaron Watson and Jake Willis.
Nearest the pins were, Charles Farlow on four, Shane Broad on seven, Jenny Wyld on 12, Dale McCrohon on 14 and Andrew Say on 17.
The longest drive on the day for a female was Leonie Petitt and for the men it was Nick Lehman.
