The first round of the Glen Innes Bowling club singles championships were played at the weekend with some resounding victories to the winning bowlers.

On Saturday Robert Rees defeated Brian Orvad 31 shots to 23, Perer Bool defeated Les Kiehne 31 shots to 23, Maurie Dunn defeated Terry Donald by 31 shots to 19 and Ian Pringle won via a forfeit.
On Sunday brad Riley defeated Zac Curtis 31 shots to 26, Terry Hooper defeated V Ioane 31 shots to 19, Nic Ellem defeated Trevor Pevy 31 shots to 17 and Neil Cameron defeated Phil Perkins 31 shots to 16.
The draw for Saturday will see Robert Rees Verse Ian Pringle, Maurie Dunn take on peter Bool, Nic Ellem play Brad Riley, and Terry Hooper will challenge Neil Cameron. The markers will be Terry Donald, Trevor Pevy, V Ioane and Phil Perkins.
The club pairs will get underway on Sunday Morning with L Dawson and N Cameron playing B Newberry and I Whitten and L Kiehne and P Bool playing against T Hooper and C Dawson.
R Rees and T Pevy will play N Ellem and Z Curtis, M Dunn and R Gallagher will play B Dawson and B Riley, B Orvad and I Pringle will play V Ioane and J Lee.
This Saturday at 4 pm the 2015 Club Championship winner and runner up will be presented with their prizes.
Last year’s outstanding player, Dennis Williams has been nominated by the club for the Senior New England club player of the year award.
