The Glen Innes High school has named their 2015 Dux’s and band six award winners at a ceremony at the school hall last Friday.

Among the special guest were Adam Marshall MP, Member for New England Barnaby Joyce, Mayor Colin Price, Glen Innes and District Services club President Russell Meehan , Director of Public schools –Northern Tablelands Sue Brown and P and C representative Heather Thomas.
The Dux award was presented by Russell Meehan and Cr Price to Max Malone who said studying hard and consistently working was the key to winning the award.
“I am currently studying advance mathematics at the University of NSW and
Seconds place was awarded to Tahnee Milne who said it is humbling to receive the award.
“I am glad that all my hard work has paid off and I am currently studying a bachelor of engineering at University of Queensland,” he said.
The third place getter was Isaac Ross who was not present because he has moved from Glen Innes to take up his university studies.
Barnaby Joyce presented the band six wards to students Katie Hodder, Ed Malone, Zoey Carpenter Kerr, Bethany Cresnik, Patrick Lane, Max Malone and Chantilly Solis Dyball.
Glen Innes High School Principal Michael Gray also acknowledged the appointment of the 2016 school captains Bianca Grob, Jamaica Sparks, Ed Malone and James Cameron
