Show society President Andrew Hancock and publicity officer Dick Hartman handed over the 2016 trophy to Ms Lindsay yesterday.
Mr Hancock said the Bees Knees display won the award because of its quirky design and the effort she put in.
“In the end Mel’s display was a little bit different and although it was a close call that is what got her over the line with the judges,’ he said.
Ms Lindsay said she loves to support the show and always enters a window display in the competition
“We decided to be very creative with lots of colour and movement and it was a very bespoke design and I am very happy to win the competition and support the Glen Innes show,” she said.
Mr Hartman said there were 18 nominations to judge which was more than last year and he saw the amount of entries as an indication that locals still love the show and want to support it in any way they can.
