Each division played three games over the weekend and the result was decided only after the senior men’s playoff.
Coordinator Belinda Crawford said some great emerging talent is coming through from the beginner’s ranks.
“The beginners and the girls came out winners for New South Wales winning all their games,” she said.
“The under 14, under 17 and senior men were the winners for Queensland and therefore that made them the overall winners.”
Mrs Crawford said three International players from the UK were among the skaters that competed in front of a big crowd of more than 100 at the North Skate rink.
“It was a fantastic action packed weekend which saw Queensland taking home the trophy for this round in a high quality, fast paced final game,” she said.
“New South Wales were the winners in the beginners section with Maddison Crawford being awarded the most valuable player (MVP) and Jamie Crawford the best goal keeper (BGK).
“The Encouragement Award went to Shaylie De Dominicis who is a five year old player from Queensland.”
Other individual awards went to Under 14 - QLD, MVP Connor Hallar (QLD), BGK Michael De Dominicis (QLD), U17 - QLD, MVP Matthew Bester (QLD), BGK Kristyl Pocock (NSW), Girls - NSW, MVP Kyah Heagney (NSW), BGK Kristyl Pocock (NSW) and Senior Men - QLD, MVP Jordan Lette (QLD), BGK Ken Bradley (NSW).
