Lali has been recognised for her outstanding pony club results in the under six girls category.
She came first in the pony hack, girl rider and was the reserve champion in the pony hack at the recent Glencoe sports day.
Mum Jane Alt said Lali has been riding horses since she was two years old.
“She was riding horses before she was riding a bike,” she said.
“She did well at pony camp this year in the seven and under division winning the Bill Kirkby memorial shield for the highest points score in the intermediate troop.
“Lali also won highest point score in the under seven girl division at the Glen Innes pony camp held recently.”
Mrs Alt said Lali just loves riding horses.
“Lali and her horse Prince Fabian are inseparable and she loves riding with the other children and the companionship that pony club brings,” she said.
“The first thing she does when she wakes up in the morning is put on her gum boots and pyjamas and feed her horse.
“She also loves helping her Uncle Peter to muster sheep and cattle on the family property, so she is a horse and farm girl for sure and we are very proud she has won this award.”
