The event features a wide and varied array of characters and car enthusiasts who drive in vintage cars or hybrid models on a fundraising drive across regional Australia.
Local Tina Wolfe said the week-long event has seen them drive their old Holden between four and five hundred kilometres a day.
“We stop off at schools along the way, usually for breakfasts and lunch and give them whatever they have nominated to variety that they need and we spread some good cheer amongst the kids too,” she said.
“Some of the schools we have visited have received new playground equipment, new kitchens for their canteens and things like that.
“The kids here at Glen Innes were very happy to see us, especially as one of their teachers is riding along with us on this trip.”
