Mr Windsor has enlisted the assistance of Mr Everald Compton AM, the former Chair of National Seniors organisation to help him with his forum at Glen Innes, on June 1.
“The needs of the older members of our communities must be understood and addressed to ensure a high quality of life throughout their life,” Mr Windsor said
“I am inviting all members of the community to join Everald and me at these forums to let us know their thoughts on what currently is impacting on them and what could be adapted to improve their lives into the future.
“Everald Compton is himself in his mid-80’s but has for many years been devoted to working with whoever is in government to achieve a system that makes ageing a positive experience no matter where you live.”
“He chaired the group that developed the ‘Blueprint for an Ageing Australia’ – a document that should be adapted by whoever forms Government after the upcoming election,” Mr Windsor said.
The Forum will be held on Wednesday June 1 from 10.30am-12.30pm at the Glen Innes and District services club.
