LOCAL tennis hotshot Angus Lane has won the Glen Innes Tennis Club A Grade men's singles Championship on Sunday with a mature display of shots they belie his young age.

Lane used all the shots in his arsenal and displayed canny tennis nous to take the title.
The Men's doubles was won by Mick Grob and Brian Lewis with Brian teaming up with Sue Rees to win the A Grade mixed.
Rees was also successful in the A Grade ladies singles and ladies doubles with Mavis Haselwood.
A Reserve men's singles was won by Ricky Withers and the Men's doubles was won by Earl Sharman and Neil Dunbar.
The ladies doubles was won by Belinda Grob and Michelle Latham who displayed good teamwork to take out the match.
The B Grade men's singles saw a win for Ben Crothers with Crothers teaming up with Andrew Lane to win the men's doubles.
Helen Gunther and Olivia Walmsley won the ladies doubles and Helen and Josh Gunther won the mixed doubles.
The Saturday afternoon comp continued despite a very cold windy afternoon.
Sue Rees' team defeated Peter Cole's team and Angus Lane's team had a win over Mick Grob's team.
