Mr Windsor will gather together people with expertise and experience in the various and numerous fields that impact on the quality of life to develop and implement local strategies so that people can lead a full life in the New England.
Mr Windsor said the move was not just about aged care.
“It’s about how people can plan for the later years, financial control, maintaining health to enable enjoyment of later years, nutritional needs, access to services, in-home support, personal security, public transport, pension rates, superannuation, affordable housing, community involvement, technology confidence and use, communication with family and friends and I’m sure many other things that weigh on the minds of people getting older,” he said.
“My objective in doing this is to help seniors have a great experience in the later years and to maximise the resources of organisations in the New England Electorate whose function is to deliver services and support to our seniors.”
