‘Pirate Day Friday’ is an initiative of the Kids Cancer Project which is a nationwide campaign that aims to find a cure for childhood brain cancer.
Children collected ‘treasure’ on the day in the form of gold coin donations with the total amount raised on the day being $120.65.
By participating in ‘Pirate Day Friday’, the Glen Innes Preschool were able to take part in a fun and educational day that provides insight for the children on what cancer is and how it affects the world we live in, whilst raising funds to support vital brain cancer research with the hope that one day childhood cancer will ‘WALK THE PLANK’
