Club Secretary Brendon Watson said the club had a number of cars that have been donated which they would like to put to good use
“We have had these cars donated to us so we’d like to use them to let people have a go at the sport without the financial strain of buying a car up front,” he said.
“Part of the clubs strategy and focus is to get the people of Glen Innes to get involved in the sport and this is a good way to go about doing that.
“The day will be a fun day with no competition points but just a lot of fun, a structure free day that will allow people to explore the sport a bit more, get a feel for the cars and see if they like it.”
Mr Watson said one of the positives about radio control racing is that anyone can participate in the sport.
“We are encouraging kids and adults to come to the day and hopefully join our club,” he said.
“The good thing about the sport is that kids from four to 60 years or older can play, so our message is that anyone can enjoy radio controlled car racing.
“The only real requirement is that participants have a good sense of fun and adventure, if you do then there is a very good chance you will enjoy our sport.”
