Here are my secrets to loving exercise:
Invest in a fitness gadget
Have you tried a Fitbit? There are many fitness-focused gadgets on the market that can assist you in learning to love working out more. Track progress, set goals and follow a detailed plan.
Try something new
There are literally hundreds of ways to get active. Check out your local gym classes, personal training groups, sporting teams and community events. Not only will you see health and wellbeing benefits but you will meet new people and improve your quality of life.
Once you find a style of activity that you like, stick with it, the more you enjoy something the more likely you are to stay consistent.
Rock your workout
Do you have a pump up song? Create a compilation of your favourite tracks to keep you motivated while you bust a sweat.
Keep reminding yourself of how god you feel after a workout. Push yourself and use your willpower to overcome the negative thoughts and remind yourself how good working out makes you feel.
Set goals, track progress
Get yourself a diary and record everything from your exercise program, goals and your actual progress each week. Putting everything in writing makes it real and will keep you accountable.
Get an exercise plan
A goal without a plan is just a wish! It is important that you have a detailed exercise program, this will assist you in staying motivated and focused. A good exercise plan might include fat-burning activities, strength training, fun activities and more.
I recommend consulting a personal trainer or exercise physiologist to create you a detailed exercise plan to best suit your goals.
Get yourself a pet
Taking a dog for a walk of a morning is far more exciting then going on your own. Dogs need to stay active so this will make you feel obliged to go every day and you will enjoy spending time with your beloved pet.
Live a more active life
Treat every aspect of your life as a chance to get more active. Take the stairs instead of lifts, create more mileage for yourself within the workplace and at home by getting up and moving as much as you possible can.
Think positive
Exercise is supposed to make your life better not worse, so embrace exercising, keep thinking about the benefits, and your mind will adopt the more positive outlook and new habits will form.
Before you know it you will love exercising!
