GLEN Innes Red Cross has secured the services of world renowned pianist Simon Tedeschi to celebrate the refurbishment of the town hall piano.

Glen Innes Red Cross branch spokeswoman Margaret Kiehne said In 2015 the Quota Club became aware that the town hall piano needed to be refurbished and this was undertaken by the municipal council.
“The refurbishment is now complete so on Sunday October 9 at two pm the Glen Innes Branch of Red Cross will hold a concert featuring world renowned pianist Simon Tedeschi for an afternoon of music,” she said.
“He is regularly invited to perform for foreign dignitaries and has entertained the likes of Their Royal Highnesses the Crown Prince and Princess of Denmark and Nelson Mandela, he has also played the hands of acclaimed pianist David Helfgott, for actor Geoffrey Rush in the film ‘Shine’
Tickets for the concert are $25 for Adults and $15 for school students and they are available at Carelle's.
