Mrs Parker said her husband and her met in kindergarten.
“I hid his toys from him and he is still looking for them,” she said.
“I knew I’d marry him when I was nine years old and I am so glad that we have had a full life together.”
Mrs Parker said the key to their long lasting relationship is communication.
“We have worked hard at having a loving and solid marriage and we have always been able to talk things through,” she said.
Mr Parker said he is proud of the anniversary and sees it as a great achievement.
“The only reason I married her was to try and get my toys back and I still don’t know where they are,” he said.
“I joke that I have had three life sentences with Joan, but I wouldn’t change a thing, there have been many occasions when I would have gotten into trouble if it weren’t for Joan and her wise council and she has always been my first choice.”
