The classic musical is playing at The Armidale Schools' Hoskins Theatre this Thursday October 26 to Saturday Oct 29.
Miss Hahn auditioned for the role in June after working on her singing, dancing and acting skills.
The young Glen Innes actor said she was thrilled to land the part of the littlest orphan.
“I have been traveling to Armidale three times a week for rehearsals and the show is looking amazing and features a real dog playing ‘Sandy’,” she said.
Miss Hahn is the only actor in the musical from Glen Innes and actively pursued the experience of being in a big musical.
“I wanted to go for a role in this musical because I love being able to act, sing and dance,” she said.
“Over the years, I've always enjoyed dancing but I've never done anything with singing and acting as well.
“The audition process was very nerve-wracking at the start but when I found out I got the part of Molly I was very excited.”
Amber’s mum Kirrily said her daughter has been very brave.
“Amber would not even sing in front of family six weeks before she auditioned for the part,” Mrs Hahn said.
“Now she’s going to be belting out songs in front of a paying audience, I’m very proud of her.”
Miss Hahn said she has enjoyed seeing all the sets and seeing how a big musical comes together.
“Just the acting part of it is so fun; the first run through with the orchestra was very exciting and amazing, it has been an amazing experience,” she said.
“As the live performance approaches I am feeling a little bit nervous, but I think it will be great fun and I'll take a great experience away from this.
“I didn't think I would ever sing in front of people, but now I'm confident to sing in front of an audience.
“I'm grateful I've been given a lot of singing training and I have made lots of great friends that I'll keep forever.”
