With our cooler summer temperatures, favourable seasonal conditions and welcoming community it’s the perfect place to be.

The year has seen our Local Government Area reinforced as ‘fit for the future’ and a new Council elected for its four year term. Council is very focused on creating value for our community.

The White Rock Wind Farm is creating additional economic opportunity.

Christmas has different meanings for all of us, and generally it’s a time for families to reunite and enjoy time together. For many it’s also a time to take a well earned rest centred around the annual school holidays.

It is also an opportunity for reflection as we enter a new calendar year.

Spare a thought and welcoming smile for those that find themselves less fortunate at this time of year.

I would like to highlight the Community Christmas Lunch that takes place in our Town Hall and congratulate the generosity of the volunteers that make this happen.
