This year the event is sponsored by White Rock Wind Farm.
The first prize is $500 cash for the main categories, including best dressed lady, gent and couple.
Glen Innes Jockey Club secretary Leonie Moffitt said this year, as the club was supporting the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, there would be a red and yellow theme for the races.
“Including a prize for best dressed in yellow and red in the fashions on the field competition," Miss Moffitt said.
This year there are more categories with prizes for best dressed teens and children as well.
Last year a crowd of more than 1500 people enjoyed the sunny weather at the Glen Innes Cup and witnessed Esk woman Brenda Richard take first place in the fashion on the field. Glen Innes local Nicole Watson took out second place.
Wearing a classic black and white dress Ms Richard said she was thrilled to win first prize.
"The day has been so enjoyable, I came down here to spend some time with friends and it is a fantastic event,” she told the Examiner last year.
“Glen Innes should be very proud of itself; the atmosphere here is one of fun and good vibes.”
Local MP Adam Marshall will once again be one of the judges for the day.
