Local father enjoys riding his new prize with his family after winning a national competition.

Glen Innes father Philip Bolin is the proud owner of a new Landboss utility task vehicle after being entered in a national competition by his daughter.

“I was just reading the local paper and saw the competition for the Landboss,” Mr Bolin said.

“I thought “well my daughters are pretty good at doing competitions” so I asked them to enter me.”

Mr Bolin said, for the Father’s Day competition, his daughter Christine Doran had to write 25 words about why he was the best dad.

“You had to get into the final 10 and she did,” he said.

“Then from there it was all voting on the Fairfax Media site.

“We picked it up a week before Christmas so I had it there at Christmas for the grandchildren.”

Mr Bolin said the whole family thoroughly enjoyed riding the new vehicle around his acreage on Christmas Day.

He now looks forward to enjoying it for himself and making good use of it on his block in Glen Innes.
